Clams are bivalve molluscs that are native to both, seawater and freshwater. They have a taste similar to that of mussels but are slightly sweetish in flavour. Though they’re a winner in the seafood category even internationally, healthy clam recipes hit the spot in the coastal areas of India including the Konkan region, Kerela, Bengal and Karnataka.
